If I see, I understand . If I do, I learn
We are not the first to have the idea of an educational farm. But the idea of learning by doing, learning to live off the land, this has always been our idea.
We welcome school groups for tours of one or more days, where children and young people learn what food is and where it comes from.
We show a small part of what we do every day, routines fit for children, but in which they understand the simple complexity of the process that takes milk to cheese, fruit to juice, grain to bread. For example: learning about a cow or a calf by getting to touch it; climbing on or Mery or Electra, two of our Haflinger horses; harvesting the fruit from the tree to make it into more complex food; etc.
