For 25 years, we have hosted child of all ages at il Frutto Permesso . We make our farms, il Frutto Permesso and SIIA, available for learning and experience. With the thematic routes, eco-museums and laboratories, we are equipped for teaching many on all matters concerning the earth and food. We are also equipped to host one-day visits or longer stays with specified programs (i.e. the discovery of the seasons) during a school year.
Themes
We provide, with activities and language adapted according to the age of the children or teenagers, tours and educational visits on the following themes:
the story of human evolution, the birth of agriculture, the degeneration of industrial agriculture, the new agriculture.
From the ground to the food: Grains to bread and pasta
We see and study the different stages of growth of winter cereals, the old and new agricultural machines for planting and harvesting. Then, from sheaves kept in Serbia, we thresh, we aerate and we grind with stones. We then move to the food laboratory and with the flour, we make the bread.

We see and study fruit trees: how they work, their branches and buds, and how to prune them. We harvest apples, blueberries, raspberries, and pears. We discover in the Eco-museum the old ways of conservation and in the modern buildings of the Co-op, the new techniques of packaging and processing the fruit . In the teaching laboratory, we make fruit juice and/or jam.
From the ground to the food: from milk to cheese
We see and we collect the grain, we produce animal feed, we see the barn, the cow and the milking. In educational workshop we study the milk, then from the cream we get the butter. Finally, we produce the cheese and, if you have time, also the “ricotta” that we call SARASS …
From the ground... to the clothes: wool, hemp
The textile fiber laboratory allows us to discover that not only the food, but also the clothes are the result of a long history that starts from the ground.

Few people know this, but between Pinerolo and Saluzzo (we are in the middle) there are jewels of history, art and culture that are the envies of Tuscany.
